How do I enroll?

Enrollment is easy. All you need is a valid prescription for ARIMIDEX and to complete the online enrollment process by clicking the “Enroll Now” button above. During enrollment, you’ll be directed to send your prescription to ARIMIDEX Direct. (The mailing address will be provided.) Or, you can ask your doctor to fax your prescription to 877-283-9172.

* Who is eligible for ARIMIDEX Direct?

Patients with a prescription for brand-name ARIMIDEX are eligible for ARIMIDEX Direct. (Not valid for prescriptions purchased under Medicaid or similar medical assistance programs.)

What if I’m taking generic anastrozole now?

You are eligible for ARIMIDEX Direct whether you are new to treatment or currently taking generic anastrozole.

How will I receive my ARIMIDEX?

Your 30-day supply of ARIMIDEX will be filled by Eagle Pharmacy, a trusted partner of AstraZeneca Direct, and shipped directly to your home within 7-10 business days. There is no cost for shipping; however, taxes may apply.

I have commercial insurance. How much will my ARIMIDEX cost?

If your insurance co-pay is $40 or less for a 30-day supply, without insurance coverage restrictions (ie, prior authorization), you will pay the co-pay amount determined by your insurance provider. If your insurance co-pay is more than $40, or you have coverage restrictions, it will not be processed through your insurance provider and you will pay $40 for a 30-day supply through ARIMIDEX Direct. Taxes may apply. Shipping the medication to your home is free.

I am covered by Medicare part D. How much will my ARIMIDEX cost?

If you have Medicare Part D, you will pay a cash price of $40 for a 30-day supply of ARIMIDEX. All Medicare Part D orders are processed without the use of insurance and cannot be applied to Part D true out of pocket (TrOOP) costs. Taxes may apply.

What if I don’t have any insurance? How much will my ARIMIDEX cost?

If you have no insurance, you will pay a cash price of $40 for a 30-day supply of ARIMIDEX. Taxes may apply. Shipping the medication to your home is free.

How do I check the status of my order?

Click on the “Enroll Now” button located above, and select “Existing Customer”. On the next screen, select “Check Status of Your Order” and follow the on-screen instructions.

How do I order a prescription refill?

To order a prescription refill, please call us at 855-748-2655 to speak to a customer service representative. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Can I order a 90-day supply?

If you have a valid 90-day prescription, you may request to receive a 3-month supply by calling ARIMIDEX Direct Customer Service at 855-748-2655. The cost will be three times the amount of the 30-day supply.

Important Safety Information About ARIMIDEX

Prescription ARIMIDEX is only for postmenopausal women. ARIMIDEX should not be taken if you are pregnant because it may harm your unborn child. Do not take ARIMIDEX if you are allergic to any of its ingredients.
Based on information from a study in patients with early breast cancer, women with a history of blockages in heart arteries (ischemic heart disease) who take ARIMIDEX may have a slight increase in this type of heart disease compared to similar patients who take tamoxifen
ARIMIDEX can cause bone softening/weakening (osteoporosis) increasing the chance of fractures. In a clinical study in early breast cancer, there were more fractures (including fractures of the spine, hip, and wrist) with ARIMIDEX (10%) than with tamoxifen (7%)
In a clinical study in early breast cancer, some patients taking ARIMIDEX had an increase in cholesterol. Skin reactions, allergic reactions, and changes in blood tests of liver function have also been reported
In the early breast cancer clinical trial, the most common side effects seen with ARIMIDEX include hot flashes, joint symptoms (including arthritis and arthralgia), weakness, mood changes, pain, back pain, sore throat, nausea and vomiting, rash, depression, high blood pressure, osteoporosis, fractures, swelling of arms/legs, insomnia, and headache
In advanced breast cancer trials, the most common side effects seen with ARIMIDEX versus tamoxifen include hot flashes, nausea, decreased energy and weakness, pain, back pain, headache, bone pain, increased cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, and swelling of arms and legs. Joint pain/stiffness has been reported in association with the use of ARIMIDEX
ARIMIDEX should not be taken with tamoxifen or estrogen-containing therapies

Approved Uses for ARIMIDEX

ARIMIDEX is approved for adjuvant treatment (treatment following surgery with or without radiation) of postmenopausal women with hormone receptor-positive early breast cancer.

ARIMIDEX is approved for the initial treatment of postmenopausal women with hormone receptor-positive or hormone receptor-unknown locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer and for the treatment of postmenopausal women with advanced breast cancer that has progressed following treatment with tamoxifen. Patients with hormone receptor-negative disease and patients who did not previously respond to tamoxifen therapy rarely responded to ARIMIDEX.
