IN YOUR CORNER™
When battling breast cancer, it’s important to treat the whole person, not just
the illness. That’s why we created IN YOUR CORNER, a unique support program for
women currently taking or considering taking ARIMIDEX. The site was created
with the help of other women who have had breast cancer, as well as with
guidance from health care professionals. Women who register for IN YOUR CORNER
receive a series of free informative mailings and e-mails that are coordinated
with treatment stages.

Celebration Chain
The Celebration Chain is a way to honor special women in our lives who have
overcome or are fighting breast cancer and to celebrate their unique, enduring
qualities. When you create a celebration doll for someone, you can invite
friends and family members to join in the celebration and spread the word. For
every new doll created, AstraZeneca will donate $1, up to a total of $25,000,
to a breast cancer charity.

National Breast Cancer Awareness Month
For more than 20 years, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM) has
educated women about early breast cancer detection, diagnosis, and treatment.
The AstraZeneca HealthCare Foundation is a principal founder and sponsor of
NBCAM. The NBCAM organization is comprised of several national public service
organizations, professional medical associations, and government agencies
working in partnership to build breast cancer awareness, share information, and
provide access to screening services. NBCAM and
www.nbcam.com are year-round resources for patients, survivors,
caregivers, and the general public.
Many strides have been made in breast cancer awareness and treatment, but even
more still needs to be accomplished. NBCAM is focused on encouraging women to
take charge of their own breast health, by practicing regular self-breast
exams, making sure to schedule an annual mammogram, adhering to prescribed
treatment, and knowing the facts about recurrence.
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. To find out more, visit the
NBCAM Web site.

Hope Lodge
The American Cancer Society offers free, temporary housing facilities
for cancer patients who are undergoing treatment through 22 Hope Lodges. They also provide a home-like
nurturing environment, so patients can get support from others going through
the same experience. AstraZeneca is a sponsor for the Boston and Philadelphia Hope Lodges, both are scheduled to open in 2008.

American Cancer Society Navigator
This program provides women diagnosed with breast cancer with personal guides
to help them navigate through the psychological, emotional, and financial
challenges of cancer. Funded in part by AstraZeneca, support may be provided by
a former hospital employee, an oncology social worker, an oncology nurse, a
nurse practitioner, or a chaplain. To learn more about this program, visit ACS online or call toll-free 1-800-ACS-2345 and ask for
a Navigator in your community.
