Learning from others

As you'll learn from the Leading Ladies, active survivorship centers on empowerment — on taking charge and learning all you can about breast cancer. It’s about effectively communicating with your health care team, family and friends — and even understanding yourself better. It means asking for help when you need it — and being there to help others who are facing breast cancer. Active survivorship also means living life to the fullest and learning to maintain a sense of balance.

In summer 2007, we talked to 20 breast cancer patients about their experiences with active survivorship. Listen to the stories and diverse opinions of these amazing women. Gain insights. Get inspired. Then pass it on!
